NEW BIOGAS FACILITY
Derivee Power & Energy is developing a greenfield waste-to-energy project in the Caribbean. The facility will use gasification equipment to convert up to 300 tons per day of municipal solid waste into biogas. The project may generate up to 8 MWe of electricity for the local utility. The site may also include photovoltaic solar equipment that generates an additional 2 MWp of electricity.
The waste-to-energy project will have agreements with government agencies for the waste supply and power sales. This cutting-edge project will provide win-win solutions for the waste management, energy, and environmental challenges of the island nation, a leading destination for tourists.
